Prince has been officially nominated to enter into the prestigious Songwriters Hall of Fame. Officially known as the National Academy of Popular Music, set up in 1969 has nominated Prince along with Neil Young and Pete Townsend to enter into their Hall of Fame for 2006.

Forbes Magazine has ranked Prince as the 8th most powerful musician for 2004. The list is based on concert ticket sales, earnings, web hits and media coverage.
After leaving Warner Brothers behind in 1993 no one dear think Prince would not only top the album charts but also achieve the highest tour earnings and receive nominations for the Music Halls of Fame on both sides of the Atlantic ever again let alone all in the same year.
