Prince’s past albums are undergoing reissue by Sony Legacy since the publishing rights to his post Warner catalogue has been licensed to Sony Music Entertainment via their imprint label Legacy Recordings. Since the start of 2021, excepting the four soundtrack albums (Purple Rain, Parade, Batman and Graffiti Bridge), Prince’s entire catalogue has passed to Sony in the US. Elsewhere will still be covered by Warner Records. This makes a fiendishly complex and possibly unique set-up but as long as releases come assume the process works. Check back often.
