His album N.E.W.S was up for a Grammy in the best pop instrumental category, but did not win the award. If Prince won, it would had been his fifth Grammy.
The 46th ceremony of the prestigious awards took place in Los Angeles on 8 February started off proceedings with a performance of the man himself doing a 6 minute montage with Beyoncé providing the vocals, the songs they performed were, Purple Rain, Baby I’m A Star and Let’s Go Crazy. Also check out the related story on the Tour page, Prince will be performing two shows in Las Vegas from 31 January. Self publicity in overdrive from a private man, can only mean something big is coming, a new recording contract, tour, album, a new line of t-shirts for the website maybe, one can only guess, but isn’t it wonderful to be proud being a Prince fan again.
