My Name Is Prince: The Official Exhibition

1 MIN READ

Paisley Park Studios is running its first exhibition outside of Minneapolis and will be at The O2 for 21 days from 27 October.

The exhibition will be in London for exactly 21 days – the same length of time Prince performed at the venue during his record setting residency “21 nights in London” for The Earth Tour shows he performed at The O2 during the summer of 2007. Prince still holds the venue record for 21 back-to-back shows.

The exhibition is called My Name Is Prince, and will feature a range of costumes and instruments from the Purple Rain and Lovesexy tours of 1984/5 and 1988/9, as well as thousands of the artist’s personal possessions.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 25 August, at £25 each. The exhibition will run every day from Friday 27 October to Thursday 16 November 2017.

Other star exhibits include his Gibson L65 guitar used when Prince made his national television debut on American Bandstand in 1980, and the Third Eye sunglasses worn during the HITNRUN tour of 2014. And, of course, the clothes worn during his 21-night O2 stint.
